| Traveller's Resort hardly looks like a budget hotel,
with an opulent sunken lobby showcasing tropical fish
in the indoor pond under a giant crystal chandelier. The
lobby welcomes visitors each Friday night with piano music
("playeded" by a handsome, tuxedoed wax figure),
free refreshments and unlimited rum punch. After the party,
go outside to play pool, ping pong, or sit by the giant
bonfire and watch the infamous Negril sunset with Winston
Wellington, the owner of Traveller's. Juicy J's, the restaurant
at Traveller's is right next to the bar, with a wide variety
of items to choose from at around $5.00. Traveller's has
a great gift shop and on-site spa. The staff at Traveler's
is always courteous and friendly, and the rooms are surprisingly
spacious and impeccably clean. Rinse off the sand with
hot water showers or bubble bath, a rare luxury for budget
minded backpackers. Hopefully, you won't have time to
watch the cable offered in each room, so for more savings,
exchange your TV, for a cottage with a kitchenette. Knowing
that Mr. Wellington puts a great deal of his time and
money back into the community (such as the million books
program he created for Jamaican schoolchildren) makes
the $45 a night cost for the room easily justified. |

| Abeokuta Private Nature Park welcomes you to experience
the ambiance and serenity of Nature. Abeokuta is a Heritage,
Health and Eco-Tourist Attraction located in Dean’s
Valley Westmoreland. The Park was officially opened on
January 5th, 2003 by the Nigerian High Commissioner, Her
Excellency Florentina Ukonga. Abeokuta is a beautiful
unspoiled natural Jamaican Attraction that has been a
breathtaking and rejuvenating experience for guests locally
and internationally. There is nothing like Abeokuta on
the entire island and the closest place to this is Abeokuta
in Nigeria, Africa to which Abeokuta, Jamaica is directly
linked for over three hundred years. This occurred when
the first slaves that were taken to the Parish of Westmoreland
were brought to this Plantation from Abeokuta, Nigeria.

| Kentucky in Jamaica? Located just a few miles off A2
between Savanna La Mar and Belmont in the Bluefields Bay
area at Cave is a road, which meanders through Cave Valley
and eventually ends up in the small village of Kentucky.
Driving there is not for the faint of heart as the elevation
quickly gets to nearly 3,000ft over a narrow, rutted road
that switches back and forth with many blind corners.
This being said, the experience makes the drive worth
the trouble. An alternative option is a route taxi from
Savanna La Mar which will drop you off at your destination
for less than $4 US per person.
