Horse Racing
Horse Racing is probably one of the most exciting
and popular forms of gambling. But unlike most casino
games, horse racing has so many more attractions for the
average person, not just the punter. Horses are majestic
animals and have served human kind for centuries. So it
is no great surprise that horse racing is well liked by
society's upper echelon. The race track, especially at
a big event, is a beehive of activity. The fashion, the
hats, the wine, the talk, the money and the bookies merge
together as one and operate in harmony. It is a site to
behold!!This website is full of info on horses, racetracks,
events, betting, stats, results and much more!! So if
you are a seasoned punter, a horse lover, a compulsive
gambler, a fashion addict or just someone with a curious
interest in horses, then this is the place for you. So,
come on in and have a look around! |

| You've heard of the Camden Triple Crown? Three Saturdays
in the spring with three different kinds of horse races?
It used to be called the Aiken Triple Crown. No, it's
true. Your grandmother and I went to those races in Aiken
many times. In fact, Aiken County used to be called "Thoroughbred
Country." Can you believe it? It was not all that
long ago.The Connector Highway used to be Chime Bell Church
Road with beautiful horse farms on either side. There
were barns and paddocks and racing stables as far as the
eye could see. Every morning we could drive by and watch
thoroughbreds being trained. Polo ponies were worked in
groups in the afternoons. There was even a farm we loved
with a herd of miniature horses owned by a breeder of
national champions. |
