| Turn two things into one and create a new product. Fox
did this with its new Light Proforma Socks for the
knee-brace–wearing crowd. It combined a moto sock
with a knee-brace sleeve into one long sock. Simple, really.
The mid-thickness of the foot portion slims down at the
ankle to a thinner material that continues up the leg
to about mid-thigh on a standard 6-foot man. Topped with
an elastic band, the Proforma will hold itself up or can
be folded down over the top of the brace.

| There's a characteristic of racing and riding in woods
and many other off-road situations that's hard to ignore:
People tend to go where others have gone before them.
That's often the safest thing to do, since there could
be unseen dangers lurking just off the main trail. However,
all that traffic on one bit of trail will tend to make
it deteriorate into a rough, whooped-out, body-jarring
ride for everyone who follows that path. That's when it
pays to actively look for an alternate line, which is
what Am-Pro Racing's Barry Hawk suggests here. |

| The only legal fuel is pump gas (although octane booster
is allowed), the only legal tyres are Hoosier Quick Times
or Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pros, the only legal transmission
is a factory based transmission and everyone has to complete
a cruise on the open roads that includes filling up on
pump gas and completing up to five hot starts…and
no external assistance. There are no changes allowed between
the cruise and the race beyond fresh plugs and the odd
valve spring.
