Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom was Disney's second
theme park, opening October 1, 1971. For
years, it was the only destination of
note within the massive Walt Disney World
complex, so most people came to know the
park simply as "Disney World."
Disney later added Epcot in 1982, the
Disney-MGM Studios in 1989 and Disney's
Animal Kingdom in 1998. The Magic Kingdom
follows pretty much the same layout as
California's Disneyland, though on a much
larger parcel of land
Epcot
Walt Disney World's Epcot opened in October,
1982, as Disney's first theme park not
modeled after California's Disneyland.
Built to resemble a permanent World's
Fair, Epcot is divided into two main sections:
Future World, featuring modernistic exhibit
halls devoted to nature and science, and
World Showcase, featuring pavilions from
several partner countries.
Epcot takes its name from Walt Disney's
original vision for the Disney World complex,
an "Experimental Prototype Community
of Tomorrow." Walt envisioned a community
where people would live and work, in addition
to dropping money at Disney theme parks.
But virtually no one lived at Disney World
until the company built the Town of Celebration
in the late 1990s.
Animal Kingdom
This park is the best for Disney's Fastpass.
A good idea is to get fastpasses early
in the day for the Safaris and do everything
else. Most things at the park do not have
long lines. Your other option is to use
the fastpasses for Kali River Rapids.
Also, if you do not want to use fastpasses,
a good time to go on the safaris is in
the morning or around a cloudy/rainy time
beause that is the time that most animals
are active. Finally one should not miss
Festival of the Lion King, hailed as one
of the best shows in Disney World!
