Ace Trains:
Ace Trains is a line of tinplate, gauge O locomotives and rolling stock that we believe is the equal of anything issued by the great names of the past!Each model type is produced in one batch and it is unlikely that further runs of the same items will be made again as production moves on to the next item in the programme.The company was formed in 1996 and is based in London with production taking place off-shore in the Far East. Several of the early items produced are no longer available from Ace and are now found in the collector's marketplace.Britannia Models is pleased to be associated with Ace Trains as one of a very limited number of retailers around the world. Here is a quick review of models produced since inception, including those now out of production:

The E/1 model of a 4-4-4 tank locomotive (out of production):
The first item produced was the E/1 locomotive which was a 4-4-4 Tank locomotive, based on the original Hornby No. 2 engine which ceased production in 1929. There were several liveries for the E/1, based on British and French railway companies.

Specifications included:
Available in 20V AC/DC switchable or 12V DC
Electric working front headlamps
Runs on all types of 3-rail tinplate standard track including original Hornby, Marklin, Bing, JEP, MDF, etc.
All materials are rust-proofed
Fluted coupling rods
Interchangeable rear couplings

The E/2 model 4-4-2 tank locomotive (now out of production):
The second model in the programme was an E/2 4-4-2T, again based on the Hornby No. 2 locomotive. This model was made to the same high standard as the E/1 but was produced in DC only and has a cab operated isolating switch allowing free standing on live track. Drawing only 0.7 amp these locomotives can be double-headed and run off a small 12volt DC transformer. E/2 4-4-2 Tank Locomotive DC only and was only made in British liveries.
